The NCAA transformation committee released their recommendations on Tuesday afternoon, which include tournament expansion in NCAA postseason championships by 25%. This would support the expansion of men’s and women’s basketball tournaments to increase up to around 90 teams.

The full report by the NCAA transformation committee will be reviewed by the Division-I board at the NCAA convention next week. There is no official change until reviewed by the NCAA directors.

If passed, the expansion wouldn’t go into effect until the 2024-25 academic year.
