McAfee will be in Morgantown next Friday to host the Pat McAfee Show just a day before WVU’s season opener against Penn State. The Friday, Aug. 30 edition of “The Pat McAfee Show” will broadcast live from near the Life Sciences Building, which sits right in the middle of WVU’s downtown campus. This is where the old Mountaineer Field was located.
While College GameDay kicked off the season in Ireland this weekend for Florida State-Georgia Tech, former Alabama HC Nick Saban made his official debut with the crew. Saban, a West Virginia native, was asked by McAfee about the Mountaineer program.
“West Virginia is about to run the table. Your thoughts as a West Virginia man,” asked McAfee.
“Look, I’m a Mountaineer. That’s where I grew up. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the fact that you played there. I coached there. And I love my state,” responded Saban.
