West Virginia basketball has scheduled nearby Robert Morris University as a non-conference opponent for next season, WV Sports Now has confirmed. The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

The Colonials had a successful 2019-20, finishing 20-14 and winning the Northeast Conference Tournament on their home floor as the No. 1 seed.

They were led by the duo of senior guard Josh Williams and junior wing AJ Bramah, who each averaged more than 13 points per game this season.

The Mountaineers and Colonials have met 21 times in the past, with WVU holding a 19-2 record against RMU. Their last meeting came in 2011, when West Virginia won 82-49.

The last time RMU defeated West Virginia was when the Colonials won back-to-back meetings in 1988 and 1989. WVU has won 13 straight contests since.
