Rodney Gallagher: ‘We’re Going to Get Morgantown Back on Its Feet’
For Rodney Gallagher, his commitment to West Virginia on Wednesday was the best family-like atmosphere for him. Logan Carney of WV Sports Now spoke with Gallagher about his commitment to WVU.
“It’s the best fit for me,” Gallagher said. “I love the relationships with the coaches and everything with it is great. I feel like I can be the best Rodney Gallagher at West Virginia University.”
Gallagher, a 2023 athlete from Uniontown, PA, is the sixth-highest rated recruit in WVU football history. The multi-sport athlete is the highest recruit under the Neal Brown era. Gallagher finished off his junior year with 1,365 passing yards, 1,130 rushing yards and 31 total touchdowns at Laurel Highlands High School.
Gallagher wants the Mountaineer fans to know one thing: they’re going to turn the program around.
“You’re getting a great player that wants to win,” Gallagher said. “We’re going to get Morgantown back on its feet and we’re going to be something special.”
