Source: Marcus Simms absence due to lingering injury

With the annual Blue-Gold spring game a week away, concern still surrounds the absence of senior wide receiver Marcus Simms.

Head Coach Neal Brown told media earlier in the week that he was dealing with what he called, “a personal issue”.

Today, DubVNation confirmed with a source close to the situation that Simms is still having trouble with his hamstring that he injured in last year’s game vs Baylor.

He’s currently doing individual training with the WVU training staff to try and get back to 100%.

The source informed us that, “The injury vs Baylor was a lot worse than what people knew and it contributed to the hamstring injury throughout the season.”

Stay tuned to DubVNation as we will give you the latest on the injury regarding Simms.
