The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia Football and Basketball. 

Update (6:46 PM)-

**West Virginia extends an offer to 2024 4-star defensive end Eddrick Houston from Buford, Georgia. Houston (6’4”, 210) is ranked as one of the Top 100 juniors in the country with offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Ole Miss.

Update (6:32 PM)- 

**West Virginia football extends an offer to 2024 cornerback Tyshun White from Buford, Georgia. This is White’s second D-1 offer, with the other coming from Kentucky.

**2023 4-star offensive guard Amir Herring received an offer on Friday from West Virginia. Herring holds close to 20 offers, including from programs such as Arizona State, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Penn State, Pitt and Syracuse.

Update (2:25 PM)-
**The heavy day of recruiting in Michigan continues for Neal Brown’s team as they extend an offer to 2023 4-star defensive end/tight end Jalen Thompson from talent rich Cass Tech High School in Detroit.  Thompson is ranked as one of the Top 200 juniors in the country and holds offers from Michigan State, Arizona State, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State and Tennessee.

Update (2:15 PM)-
**The heavy day of offers from the WVU staff continues with this one going to 2024 quarterback Isaiah Marshall from Southfield, Michigan. Marshall (6’0″, 200) has already received offers from Cincinnati, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss, Pitt and Syracuse. Marshall received his offer from Michigan when he was in 8th grade.

Update (2:00 PM)-
**A third offer today from West Virginia football to a player from Georgia as the latest one goes to 2023 inside linebacker Olan Robinson (6’2″, 225) from Newton High School in Covington, Georgia. Robinson’s other D-1 offer right now is from Tennessee.

Update (1:09 PM)-
**West Virginia football extends an offer to 2023 linebacker Jalen Smith (6’2″, 205) from Loganville, Georgia. Smith has already received offers from Central Florida, Maryland, Indiana, Coastal Carolina, Pitt, Buffalo, Charlotte, Boston College, Georgia State and Arkansas State.

**West Virginia football extends an offer to 2023 4-star safety Michael Daugherty (6’1″, 180) from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. Daugherty is ranked as one of the Top 40 juniors in the country. Daugherty holds 30+ offers including ones from Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Clemson, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Texas, USC and Virginia Tech.

**West Virginia football extends offer to 2022 3-star athlete Aidan Vaughan from Walled Lake Western High School in Walled Lake, Michigan. This was the first Power Five offer for Vaughan (6’4″, 220), who also has been offered by Air Force, Bowling Green and Western Michigan.

 

Update (10:33 AM)-
**West Virginia football extends an offer today to 2024 defensive back Jamir Benjamin (5’10”, 170) from West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. Benjamin has already been offered by Michigan State, Liberty, Purdue, Marshall and Bowling Green.
