2025 four-star combo guard Isaiah Denis picked up an offer from West Virginia on Thursday afternoon, he announced on social media. Denis is one of the top prospects in the state of North Carolina.

Former WVU G James Long coached Denis at Davidson Day School this past season. Long is now entering his first year at the University of Charleston as head coach.

“Blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” Denis wrote.

Denis (6-foot-5) has received offers from Arizona State, Cal, Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia State, High Point, Indiana State, Kansas, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Pitt, Radford, Texas A&M, UNCG, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and others. Denis has completed a visit to Virginia Tech and is scheduled to visit Michigan, Pitt and Ohio State in the future.

Most recently, WVU offered 2027 G LJ Smith on Wednesday. Smith is a 6-foot-4 prospect from Lincolnton, Nc.

For the 2025 class, West Virginia’s staff hosted forward Chase Thompson recently for an official visit. Four-star guard Jamarion Batemon included WVU in his top four with Clemson, Iowa State and Marquette. Batemon is making his decision on Monday.
