True Blue for WVU Football’s Senior Day
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU Football (4-6) will welcome the Texas Longhorns (4-6) into Milan Puskar Stadium for the last time this season on Saturday.
When West Virginia head coach Neal Brown looks toward getting a leg up in the series’ current 5-5 record, the team will break out the true blue uniforms for the 41st time since 2001. WVU has gone 29-11 when wearing the blue pants and blue jersey, including a pair of appearances in 2020.
The Mountaineers started out the season with a Week 3 double overtime 27-21 win against the Baylor Bears in Morgantown and capped the season off with a win over Army in the Liberty Bowl, 24-21, in Memphis, Tn.

Along with WVU Athletics requesting that all fans wear blue, this match-up will also honor WVU Football’s senior class and the 2012 Orange Bowl team’s 10-year anniversary.
Before the game kicks off, West Virginia will recognize its seniors: Alonzo Addae, Leddie Brown, Josh Chandler-Semedo, VanDarius Cowan, Jarret Doege, Noah Drummond, John Hughes, Sean Mahone, Sean Ryan, Evan Staley, Dante Stills, Tyler Sumpter, and Scottie Young.
