It’s one thing to read a statement from an athlete about why he decided to commit to a school, it’s another thing to hear one wax poetic and verbalize it. Jahiem White, who was West Virginia’s first 2023 commitment, has now provided that to fans of the program in a video posted by Brock Lane Films across social media.

The running back out of Penn Senior High School in York, Pennsylvania detailed the family atmosphere vibe Neal Brown is creating at WVU as what helped sell him on moving to Morgantown to continue his football career. He also made it clear he has goals to reach the NFL.

White (5-foot-9, 187 pounds) finished this past season rushing for 2,128 yards and 31 touchdowns.
