West Virginia native Matt Massie stretched his Jeopardy! winning streak to three games on Thursday, June 12, not securing his win until the Final Jeopardy round with a wager that put him over the top.

Massie, who hails from South Charleston, W.Va., now possesses three-day earnings of $79,800. Another win on June 13 will earn him a spot in the showโ€™s yearly Tournament of Champions, likely set for a date in early 2026. Although Massie, a lawyer, went to Yale for his undergraduate education, he earned his law degree from WVU.

Massie won his second consecutive game in landslide fashion, pulling in $28,000. His next closest competitor finished with $3,199.

The Mountain State has cleaned house in the classic game show in recent years, with fellow West Virginia native Adriana Harmeyer winning 15 consecutive games back in 2024. Harmeyer earned a spot in the Tournament of Champions and made it all the way to the championship round, finishing as a finalist.
