West Virginia Running Back Alec Sinkfield Enters NCAA Transfer Portal
West Virginia running back Alec Sinkfield has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, per rivals.

Sinkfield, a redshirt-junior, rushed for 327 yards and three touchdowns this season as the Mountaineers’ second-string running back. He was also the team’s primary punt returner, returning 28 punts for 139 yards (5.1 average).
Never a full-time starter, Sinkfield played in 27 games in his WVU career, rushing for 436 yards with four touchdowns and making 19 receptions for 117 yards.
Sinkfield came to WVU from American Heritage High School in Florida in 2017. He redshirted as a true freshman and played five games in 2018 before becoming a full-time player in 2019 and 2020.
He is the second WVU running back to enter the portal this offseason, joining former walk-on Lorenzo Dorr. West Virginia’s running back room in 2021 will include returning 1,000-yard rusher Leddie Brown, returning underclassmen Tony Mathis and A’Varius Sparrow and true freshmen Justin Johnson and Jaylen Anderson.
