The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia Football and Basketball.
Update (12:30 p.m.) –
**Five 2023 three-star West Virginia football targets chose rival Pitt over West Virginia this past weekend. Wide receiver Kenny Johnson, defensive end Antonio Camon, defensive tackle Isiah Neal, defensive back Brice Pollock and cornerback Shadarian Harrison were five of the six recruits who committed to Pitt this past weekend.
Only Neal (Baltimore, Maryland) and Johnson (York, Pennsylvania) are located in the more regional recruiting pipeline for two schools. West Virginia still has the higher rated recruiting class for 2023 by 247Sports at No. 15 while Pitt skyrocketed up to No. 20. Though with only both schools only with eight commits, those rankings will certainly change by signing day.
