The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia Football and Basketball.
Update (4:15 p.m.) –
**Three West Virginia wrestlers (senior Scott Joll, junior Peyton Hall and redshirt sophomore Austin Cooley) finished in the top eight of their respective weight classes to claim All-America status at the 2022 U23/U20 World Team Trials in Geneva, Ohio this past weekend.
Update (12:57 p.m.) –
**Former West Virginia defensive lineman Darrel Middleton has transferred to FCS school and HBCU Jackson State. Middleton appeared in three games with West Virginia last season before transferring in October.
He came to West Virginia after two seasons spent at Tennessee. He was a JUCO recruit at Tennessee, despite being a four-star recruit out of high school. He was previously committed to Alabama A&M this off-season.
