Is another Jacksonville State player headed to WVU? West Virginia’s desire to add more offensive line depth and Will O’Steen’s familiarity with Rich Rodriguez make him instantly feel like the perfect fit now that he’s in the transfer portal.

O’Steen (6-foot-4, 290 pounds) officially jumped in the portal on Wednesday as a grad transfer, per Chris Hummer of 247 Sports.

In addition to knowing what being “hard edge” is all about, the now former Gamecock would bring more than 2,500 snaps worth of college experience. O’Steen’s track record as an All-Conference USA player could make him ready to advance his game at the Power Four level in the Big 12.

O’Steen, a White Plains, Ala. native, saw the rise of Jacksonville from FCS to conference champion as a Group of 5 FBS school throughout his four years.

The benefit of having Jacksonville State players around to help administer Rodriguez’s system was constantly brought up during spring practice, which adds credence to the rumors that O’Steen will be following his old coach to West Virginia.
