Thomas (6-foot-2, 316 pounds) signed with West Virginia after playing two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) North Division Defensive Player of the Year for 2025.
He finished with 18 tackles, 2.5 for a loss and a half sack.
Most major national outlets listed Thomas as one of the top five junior college defensive lineman in the country prior to becoming Mountaineer.
WVU defensive line coach William Green extended an offer to Thomas in September and then he visited in November. The Mountaineers have been watching for several months.
