WVU Football offers Jacob Barrick

West Virginia’s third commitment of the day is another Jacksonville State player. Tight end Jacob Barrick will join Rich Rodriguez at WVU.

Barrick, a Martinsburg, W.Va. native will jump to the Power Four level in the Big 12 for his final year of eligibility.

He made six receptions for 70 yards in six games for the Gamecocks in 2024.

In high school as a 2022 prospect at Martinsburg High School, Barrick played both offense and defense as an edge rusher. He was a first team all-state selection as a senior. Barrick made 38 receptions for 644 yards and scored seven touchdowns, averaging 16.95 yards per reception. He also caught four two-point conversion attempts.

Fellow Jacksonville State and Martinsburg product receiver Jarod Bowie committed to come home to West Virginia earlier in the day.
