In an effort to retool the WVU football roster, Rich Rodriguez brings one of his Jacksonville State players home. Wide receiver Jarod Bowie announced his commitment to West Virginia on Monday.

Bowie, a Martinsburg, W.Va. native, comes to WVU after spending two years at Jacksonville State and was part of the Gamecock’s Conference USA championship team. He made 13 receptions for 209 yards in 14 games in 2024.

Prior to arriving at Jacksonville State, Bowie played at Division II Concord in Athens, W.Va.

Bowie didn’t take long committing to join Rodriguez, having agreed to become a Mountaineer only two days after entering the transfer portal.
