The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia University Athletics.

*Update (2:00 p.m.) –

West Virginia has offered class of 2026 cornerback J’Zavien Currence (6-foot-2, 165-pounds) from South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Currence is unrated on recruiting services, likely due to how far away he is, but has offers from Arkansas, Charlotte, East Carolina and South Carolina.

 *Update (9:00 a.m.) –

2024 athlete Andre W. Devine (5-foot-8, 155-pounds), son of West Virginia Hall of Fame running back Noel Devine, received an offer yesterday during his visit from the school.

Devine is from North Fort Meyers High School in Florida and West Virginia is his fourth offer following Alabama A&M, Florida Atlantic and Marshall. He is currently unrated on 247Sports and doesn’t have an ESPN, On3 or Rivals profile.
