*This Saturday, freshman DB/RB David Davis, a freshman from Imani Christian Academy in Pittsburgh, will be in Morgantown for WVU’s home opener. Davis is a rising recruit, who last night received his first D-1 offer from Terry Smith and Penn State.

Update (8:00 a.m.)-
The West Virginia men’s soccer team returns to Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium to begin a three-game homestand beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday night against American.
No. 18 ranked West Virginia (1-2) is coming off a 3-2 come-from-behind loss to Penn State on Sept. 2. The Mountaineers held a 2-1 lead, but back-to-back goals put the Nittany Lions ahead.
This will be the ninth all-time meeting between West Virginia and American, with the Mountaineers leading the series 6-1-1, including a perfect 4-0 in Morgantown. The two teams last met in 2018, where West Virginia claimed a 5-1 victory.
Tuesday is also Military & Service Member Appreciation Night, as fans that have proof of military or medical employee certification will receive free admission.
