WVU defensive back Jaheem Joseph joins the list of players in the transfer portal. Joseph posted about his decision on Friday afternoon.

“Thank you, WVU Football, for an unforgettable year. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this historic program. To the players, coaches, and fans, thank you for your support! I’ll be entering the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility remaining. Proud alumni,” said Joseph on X (formerly Twitter).

Joseph transferred to West Virginia from Northwestern during the 2024 offseason. In 2024, Joseph recorded 41 total tackles, two pass deflections and an interception.

Despite WVU’s secondary being a weakness all season, Joseph’s individual production took a step up from his three years at Northwestern. He made just 23 tackles, granted did pick off three passes, in 2023.

He still has one more year left of eligibility.

I DON’T THINK I COULD CARE LESS WITH THE DB’S LEAVING,, IT’S A BLESSING … I PITY THE TEAM THAT GIVES THEM MONEY TO PLAY FOR THEM…. ONE THING FOR SURE, WVU’S DB’S DIDN’T LEARN OR PROGRESS ONE BIT OVER THE ENTIRE SEASON,,, AND IF THEY DECIDE TO COME BACK, I HOPE RR LAUGHS IN THEIR FACE AND TELLS THEM TO GO FIND A HIGH SCHOOL TO PLAY FOR
