The WVU football uniform reveal may seem like it doesn’t matter as much this week, but it happened as usual on Thursday nonetheless. A week after debuting their Coal Rush uniform, West Virginia will go back to a more traditional look with their normal color scheme in another night game against a ranked opponent.

The Mountaineers will wear blue on blue on gold when they face No. 17 Kansas State on Saturday night.

West Virginia enters the game at 3-3 (2-1, Big 12) compared to the Wildcats at 5-1 (2-1, Big 12). This will be WVUโ€™s annual Homecoming game.

To no surprise, major oddsmakers and sportsbooks are expecting WVU to lose to their second straight ranked opponent in Week 8.

On Sunday, both DraftKings and FanDuel released their odds for the next slate of college football games and have the Mountaineers as a 2.5-point underdog at home to Kansas State.

The upcoming matchup between WVU and Kansas State on Saturday, Oct. 19 will be televised on FOX. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm ET.

A week after enjoying the biggest jump of any Power Four program on the ESPN FPI, WVU slid a bit following a 28-16 loss to Iowa State on Saturday night.

The Cyclones spoiled West Virginiaโ€™s Coal Rush night, sending the Mountaineers from No. 33 to No. 38. After hanging with Iowa State throughout most of the game, two fourth quarter interceptions thrown by Garrett Greene led to Cyclone touchdowns and WVUโ€™s first conference loss of the season.

For a related story, family members of WVU football players and coaches open up about what they’ve been dealing with while the team struggles.
