UNT Standout Could Follow Ross Hodge to WVU

North Texas standout Brenen Lorient could follow former head coach Ross Hodge to WVU if his NBA aspirations don’t pan out, according to a report Saturday afternoon.
Lorient, a 6-9 forward, has entered the transfer portal and plans to test the NBA Draft waters, but could end up following Hodge to Morgantown, according to a report by Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress.
North Texas forward, Brenen Lorient, will enter the transfer portal and test the 2025 NBA Draft waters, Iโm told.
Ridiculous athlete at 6โ9โ with crazy vertical pop as a rim-finisher and shot blocker.

Lorient averaged 11.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game as a junior this season. He was voted first-team All-AAC and was the American Athletic Conference Sixth Man of the Year.
He came off the bench in all 36 games during his lone season with the Mean Greene. He spent the first two years of his career playing a minor role at Florida Atlantic. The Florida native shot 57.1% from the floor and averaged better than a block per game at UNT.
His best performance of the year was a 20-point, eight-rebound outing against Temple in January, setting season highs in both categories.
Ross Hodge, who was introduced as WVU’s new men’s basketball coach on Thursday, is still searching for his first commitment with the Mountaineers.
