WVU Football Joins Battle for 2025 4-Star DL

Even though recruiting is less active in July, the WVU football program is still sending an offers, and the latest one was extended to a class of 2025 defensive line prospect with a four-star rating.
Adam Shovlin (6-foot-5, 243 pounds), who currently attends St. Thomas More in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, tweeted that he received an offer from the Mountaineers on Tuesday. He says the offer came during a talk with WVU defensive line coach Andrew Jackson.

Shovlin holds top 50 rankings from multiple national outlets and is already being recruited hard by Power Five schools like Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, USC and Virginia Tech. Most are projecting Shovlin will eventually commit to the Nittany Lions.
He visited Penn State more recently than any other program on June 24.
While 247 Sports and Rivals only have Shoblin listed as a three-star player, On3.com has awarded him a four-star rating and placement as the number 17 defensive lineman.
