While the WVU football staff likes to cast a wide net when looking for talent, they’re also confident a local prospect is worthy of becoming a Mountaineer. West Virginia even made their interest official on Thursday, offering offensive lineman Luke Braham.

A 2027 product of Morgantown’s University High School, Braham, listed at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, already has Mountaineer blood pumping through his body. That’s why the WVU legacy – his dad, Rich, and older brother, Noah, both played for West Virginia, said he was “blessed” when he received the offer.

Braham posted about his offer on social media.

Braham plays left tackle and even has experience at defensive end in high school.

Despite still trying to gain attention from national recruiting services, Braham does have other Power Four opportunities besides WVU. He also has offers from Northwestern, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. Braham has spent time with Michigan State as well.

Lower level schools like FAU, Kent State, Liberty and Marshall, which would also allow him to play in the state of West Virginia, Ohio and Toledo have also shown interest in Braham.
