Three weeks after earning a WVU football offer, Louisiana wide receiver Alex Fontenot schedules his official visit.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Fontenot revealed his West Virginia offer on April 17th and will be in Morgantown for a full weekend experience on June 19-21.

Fontenot has become a popular option of similar programs, having a longstanding offer from Pitt preceding WVUโ€™s and receiving one from Maryland a day after the Mountaineers. He was invited to visit TCU as well.

Outside of the Power Four, he also has offers from Arkansas State and UTSA.

A product of Alexandria High School, Fontenot caught 62 receptions for 1,047 yards and scored 17 touchdowns as a junior in 2025. His monster production came despite sitting out time due to lopsided games.

โ€œIโ€™m a disciplined route runner with strong hands, big-play ability, and the work ethic to keep leveling up. My goal is to compete at the next level and contribute early. Iโ€™d appreciate your evaluation,โ€ Fontenot posted on social media about what he would provide a college program.
