2027 Louisiana WR Alex Fontenot Books OV Weeks After Offer

Three weeks after earning a WVU football offer, Louisiana wide receiver Alex Fontenot schedules his official visit.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Fontenot revealed his West Virginia offer on April 17th and will be in Morgantown for a full weekend experience on June 19-21.

Fontenot has become a popular option of similar programs, having a longstanding offer from Pitt preceding WVU’s and receiving one from Maryland a day after the Mountaineers. He was invited to visit TCU as well.

Outside of the Power Four, he also has offers from Arkansas State and UTSA.

A product of Alexandria High School, Fontenot caught 62 receptions for 1,047 yards and scored 17 touchdowns as a junior in 2025. His monster production came despite sitting out time due to lopsided games.

“I’m a disciplined route runner with strong hands, big-play ability, and the work ethic to keep leveling up. My goal is to compete at the next level and contribute early. I’d appreciate your evaluation,” Fontenot posted on social media about what he would provide a college program.
