WVU Football Makes Top 8 for Florida DT Isaiah Hastings
Two seasons ago, West Virginia won a recruiting battle for defensive end Akheem Mesidor from Clearwater Academy in Florida.
Now, the Mountaineers are back in Clearwater trying to land another one of their talented defensive lineman.
2022 3-star defensive tackle Isaiah Hastings is a target of West Virginia and they found out on Tuesday that they’re in his list of top schools.
Hastings (6-foot-5, 290 pounds) holds more than 20 offers and has narrowed that list down to eight schools: West Virginia, Miami, Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Oregon and Toledo. Hastings received an offer from West Virginia back on June 2nd and Neal Brown sent him his official offer on August 1st

Like Mesidor, Hastings is originally from Canada before moving to Clearwater Academy. Hastings didn’t play last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
West Virginia defensive line coach AJ Jackson has been the lead recruiter for Hastings.
