WVU Football Uniform in Line With Theme of Season Opener
In keeping with the theme of the day, WVU will wear all white in honor of Mountaineer legend Pat White when they kickoff the 2026 season on Saturday afternoon.
The program officially revealed the uniform combination by posting a video on Thursday night.
WVU is considered a heavy favorite to defeat Coastal Carolina, sitting at as high as a 21.5-point favorite.
West Virginia will kickoff the 2026 season at home against Coastal Carolina on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for noon ET and will follow a pregame ceremony to honor program legend and member of the current coaching staff Pat White.

Iβm really not a fan of the switch back to glossy helmets. And for the love of all that is holy, can we please ditch the shoulder stripes. They are awful now and have always been.
