The West Virginia men’s basketball team is up three spots to No. 14 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll, released Monday.

The Mountaineers were ranked No. 17 coming off of a loss to Florida in last week’s poll but rebounded to defeat Iowa State on Tuesday and then-No. 23 Kansas Saturday. Following Saturday’s loss, the Jayhawks dropped out of the top-25 rankings for the first time since 2009.

Other Big 12 teams in this week’s poll include No. 2 Baylor, No. 7 Texas Tech, WVU’s next opponent, No. 12 Oklahoma, No. 13 Texas and No. 23 Oklahoma State. Kansas received 18 votes.

WVU is scheduled to play at Texas Tech Tuesday and host Oklahoma on Saturday for this week’s games. The Mountaineers would have played Baylor twice next week, but both games have been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the Baylor program.
