WVU Men’s Soccer Blanks Louisville to Advance to Sweet 16

Cue “Country Roads,” the No. 5 WVU men’s soccer team won Sunday on’s Second Round NCAA Tournament matchup to advance to the next round – the Sweet 16.

The stands at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown were packed for the 1-0 win over Louisville. Mountaineer fans will have the chance next weekend to attend another round of soccer with WVU hosting either No. 12 UCF in a rematch or Vermont. That matchup begins at 6 p.m. set Nov. 19. WVU tied UCF in the regular season 2-2.

Senior forward from Tokyo Japan Yutaro Tsukada scored the Mountaineers goal at the 72 minute mark in the 90 minute match.
