WVU Opens as Touchdown Underdog at No. 12 Iowa State on Saturday
The West Virginia University football team returns to the gridiron this week following consecutive weeks off with a trip to No. 12 Iowa State, where the Mountaineers open as a seven-point underdog to the Big 12-leading Cyclones according to betonline.ag.
WVU (5-3) has won all five of its home games in Morgantown this season, but is winless away from Milan Puskar Stadium. The Mountaineers have not played since a November 14 win against TCU — first on a scheduled off week before last week’s game against Oklahoma was postponed due to COVID problems within the Sooners’ program.
The over/under for Saturday’s game in Ames, Iowa opened at 50.5 points. So far this season, the Mountaineers are 5-4 against the spread while going over four time and under four times in their eight games.
