WVU QB JT Daniels on Living in Morgantown: ‘It Feels Like My Type of Environment’
It’s safe to say Mountaineer Nation has enjoyed watching quarterback JT Daniels lead the West Virginia offense. But it has to be nice to hear he’s enjoying his time in Morgantown too, right?
Daniels was asked directly how he’s liked living in Morgantown as a place when appearing on a SiriusXM College Sports station. “I love it. My dogs love it here. It feels like my type of environment that’s just straight down to ball with good people. We continue to embrace that. We are more of a blue collar, continue to fight type of team,” said Daniels about the area.

He also added that he likes being in a typical college town, comparing it to his previous stop in Athens, Georgia, the home of the University of Georgia.
Daniels wasn’t only asked about his new home while on the show. The WVU signal caller also touched on reuniting with offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, a coach he had a connection with from their time together at USC, and his current group of weapons on offense.
To paraphrase Daniels on Harrell, “when I left USC, I didn’t hear from him for two years. He then texted me that he was at West Virginia and they were looking in the portal for a QB. Instantly, West Virginia was in my top 3 without knowing anything about them.”
