There’s no need for WVU fans to bring cash to watch the Mountaineers in person anymore. In the not too distant future, West Virginia University Athletics will be moving to a cashless environment at all athletic venues.

This means that fans won’t be able to use cash to pay for merchandise or concessions while attending games. The upcoming cashless policy will go into effect at all games except football.

Fans will still be able to use both cash and card at Milan Puskar Stadium during the 2023 season, but cash will no longer be accepted starting with the home opener in 2024.

But other than for football, West Virginia fans will only be able to pay with a credit or debit card while watching the Mountaineers play basketball, soccer, baseball or any other sport in Morgantown. Yes, that means the WVU Coliseum will adopt the cashless policy for the 2023 season.
