WVU Transfer Sean McNeil Narrows List Down to Six Schools

Former West Virginia guard Sean McNeil told Jon Rothstein that he has narrowed his list down to six schools: Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Ohio State, Texas Tech and Virginia. McNeil will have one year of eligibility remaining.
West Virginia transfer Sean McNeil tells me that he has cut his list to the following programs:
Ohio State
Virginia
Louisville
Cincinnati
Indiana
Texas Tech— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) April 11, 2022
Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Ohio State and Virginia make sense because they’re close to home. TTU head coach Mark Adams led the recruitment for McNeil after his time at Sinclair CC in 2019. McNeil picked West Virginia over Texas Tech, but now might stay in the Big 12.
McNeil spent three seasons at West Virginia from 2019-22. The Union, KY, native scored 900 points in 89 career games for the Mountaineers. McNeil was a key piece to the 2021 NCAA Tournament team that earned a 3-seed, advancing to the round of 32. McNeil averaged 12.2 points during his senior campaign, shooting 37 percent from three.
