Kevin White is getting another chance.

The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of the former first-round pick, who will get another chance to prove he is healthy with a one-year deal.

Although White has not yet made a public comment on his signing, former Mountaineer Kyzir White is sure excited for his big brother.

White, 6-foot-3, 216 pounds, was originally drafted by the Chicago Bears seventh overall in the 2015 NFL draft, but was never really able to show his talent due to a stress fracture wiped out his entire rookie campaign. He stayed with the Bears for the next three seasons, playing in a four year total of 14 games. He compiled 25 receptions for 285 yards.

During the 2019 offseason, White signed with the Arizona Cardinals, but was released just five months later while dealing with a hamstring issue.

In addition to getting another chance, White will also be joining two other former Mountaineer Alums Tavon Austin and Colton McKivitz.

Austin signed a contract with the 49ers earlier this month as reported by Matt Malocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. McKivitz was drafted by San Francisco with the 153rd pick in the NFL draft.
