2022 Center Shawn Phillips Jr. Puts WVU in His Top-3
On Saturday night, 2022 center Shawn Phillips Jr. announced his final three schools that he is deciding on committing to, with West Virginia making the cut.
The other two schools are NC State and Ole Miss. Phillips will be making his decision on Sept. 22.

Phillips—a 4-star recruit from Ypsilanti, Michigan—was also offered by Auburn, Cincinnati, Indiana, Maryland, Ohio State, Xavier and others. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound high school senior plays with activity down in the paint on offense with an arsenal of post moves.
Phillips’ nickname is “baby Shaq” and backs the name up on this YouTube video.
