WVU Football OT recruit Justin Bell

To follow up from our initial conversation at the time of his offer from the WVU football program, offensive tackle recruit Justin Bell has more to reveal about his recruitment to WV Sports Now.

Bell (6-foot-8, 295 pounds), who has experience at both left and right tackle, announced his West Virginia offer on Thursday night. Bell, a 2025 prospect, attends Dakota High School in Macomb, Mich.

When WV Sports Now first talked to Bell, he explained what he heard from the WVU coaches, in particular offensive line coach Matt Moore.

โ€œThey basically told me they loved my film and when Coach (Matt) Moore came to my school to watch me workout, he was really impressed and he wants to set up an OV,โ€ mentioned Bell.

Bell also revealed that he plans to schedule his official visit trip to Morgantown for July 7-9.

But Bell now has more to provide. “Iโ€™m looking for a program that wants me and not just a backup option. I also want to feel comfortable at a college and be able to call it my second home and just want to have a all around great culture,” detailed the Michigan product about what he’s looking for in a college program. Bell also admitted he does not know much West Virginia and the Mountaineers, but that he is very interested in learning as much as he can as soon as possible.

Ranked within the top 20 Michigan players, Bell has been awarded three stars by both On3 Sports and 247 Sports. On3 even ranks Bell as No. 15 in his class in the state and the No. 54 offensive tackle in the country.

Projected to eventually commit to Indiana by multiple recruiting outlets, Bell also has offers from Army, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Cornell, Eastern Michigan, Howard, Kansas, Kent State, Massachusetts, Toledo, Western Michigan and Yale. And to fully paint the picture of how much Bellโ€™s stock is growing, his Kansas offer came earlier in the week and Auburn, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Purdue and Rutgers have shown some interest.

Bell already has an official visit booked with Indiana for May 31-June 2 after already recently visiting in April.
