The WVU football staff will have a chance to impress a defensive back recruit from a nearby state. Davin Chandler, a 2025 prospect from Maryland, announced that he has an official visit booked with West Virginia on Sunday.

Chandler did not reveal the exact date of his upcoming visit, but official visits are always a full weekend experience. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Chandler is considered a safety by most major recruiting outlets.

Just a day before unveiling his WVU visit, Chandler, who attends Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin, Md., showed the Mountaineers on a graphic that highlighted some of his most notable offers. Chandler’s WVU offer is pretty new, posting about the call on March 4.

In addition to West Virginia, Chandler has offers on the table from Air Force, Army, Boston College, Delaware, East Carolina, Kent State, Old Dominion, Temple, Towson, USF, Villanova and Virginia. On3.com is projecting Chandler will eventually commit to the Virginia Cavaliers.
