2026 Edge Joins WVU Football 2026 Class After Visit
Despite recent losses on the field, the WVU football has been securing wins in recruiting. And on Monday, a new edge rusher joined their 2026 class.
Carter Kessler, a 6-foot-5 and 240-pound Shelby, Ohio native, announced his commitment to West Virginia. Kessler’s commitment comes after his weekend trip t0 Morgantown for the Utah game.

Currently ranked as a three-star and the No. 40 Ohio recruit by 247 Sports, Kessler decided to lock with the Mountaineers over offers from Memphis and Miami (OH). he also has experience at tight end.
Kessler visited Ohio State for a game in early September, although did not leave Columbus with an offer from the Buckeyes.
