WVU Football flipped their second recruit of the day during the afternoon of Monday, June 9, with 2026 three-star offensive lineman Rhett Morris announcing his intention to commit to West Virginia in a Twitter post.

Considered an interior offensive lineman, the 6-foot-3, 300 pound Morris hails from Ramsey, N.J. and attends Don Bosco Prep High School. Heโ€™s regarded as a three-star prospect by both Rivals and 247 Sports, ranking among the top 25 players in New Jersey and as high as No. 17 (247 Sports).

Schools like Boston College, Mountaineersโ€™ rivals Pitt and Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are also interested in Morris. He committed to the Demon Deacons in December, but the Mountaineers reaffirmed their interest in Morris with a January re-offer, and it seems the gambit paid off.

West Virginia first offered Morris in February 2024, and he mentioned new Mountaineersโ€™ offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr. as playing a role in his renewed offer.
