On Tuesday night, 4-star PF Brandon Williams received an offer from West Virginia, reported by Rivals’ Brian Reichert. Williams is a New York native from the class of 2023, playing currently at Christ The King Regional in Middle Village.

Williams (6-foot-8, 205 pounds) is regarded as one of the top forwards in his class. The rising senior is ranked No. 131 player in his class and the second-best player in the state of New York. During his junior season at Christ The King Regional, Williams averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Recently, Williams announced his top five schools which were Connecticut, Illinois, Oklahoma State, St. John’s and UCLA. Williams is set to visit UCLA next Tuesday. West Virginia is looking to make a late push in hopes to get its name considered with those other five schools.

WV Sports Now will keep up to date with the latest recruiting and transfer portal news during the offseason.

Player Evaluation: Brandon Williams is an explosive forward that plays like a traditional four. Williams is able to use his size to bully his way into the paint and finish with force. The rising senior can get his way and grab a rebound and also set up his teammates with shots.
