WVU will close the book on the 2023 regular season with a trip to Waco, Texas to take Baylor. And it’s another favorable matchup for the Mountaineers, according to oddsmakers.

The early spread favors West Virginia by six-points, per Circa Sports. Even though the season will end on the road, the odds still suggest WVU will win comfortably over a struggling Bears team.

West Virginia’s 42-21 win over Cincinnati clinched a winning season no matter what happens against the Bears and in the bowl game. After finishing 2022 at 5-7, Neal Brown’s team owns a 7-4 (5-3) record entering the final week of the season.

On the flip side of everything the Mountaineers still have to play for, Baylor has been simply going through the motions. The Bears, who are 3-8 (2-6) are left with only pride and the hope of building for the future as their motivation in their last game.

WVU beat Baylor in Morgantown 43-40 last season thanks to a game winning field goal by former Mountaineer kicker Casey Legg.
