On Monday, the Big 12 Conference announced its weekly awards. West Virginia’s Sean McNeil was named Big 12 Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Iowa State’s Izaiah Brockington.

This marks McNeil’s second career Player of the Week honor, his first in the 2021-22 season.

McNeil played in one game last week, against Youngstown State, scoring a season-high 23 points. The Kentucky native shot 8-of-9 from the field Wednesday night, scoring all of his points in the second half. McNeil went 4-of-4 from three.

McNeil is averaging 14.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists through 11 games this season; the senior guard is shooting 36 percent from three and 44 percent from the field.
