EJ Walker, a top prospect in the state of Kentucky, will be making his unofficial visit to West Virginia on Sept. 17, he announced on Monday night. Walker is a guard from the 2025 class at Lloyd Memorial High School.

“I am looking forward to checking out campus, meeting the staff and players, but I’m really excited to get a chance to talk with coach Huggins! He’s a legend,” Walker told WV Sports Now.

Walker (6-foot-8, 220 pounds) has picked up offers from Duquesne, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Stony Brook, Toledo and Youngstown State. The rising sophomore is planning on visiting Purdue (Aug. 27), Ohio State (Sept. 10), Illinois State (Oct. 7) and Illinois (Oct. 8) along with his WVU visit. Walker recently visited Cincinnati and Miami (OH) earlier this month.

Walker has not been officially ranked by the high school recruiting sites but should be a highly-rated recruit.

WVU’s coaching staff is also planning on hosting 2025 F Alier Maluk on Aug. 20 for an unofficial visit. Maluk (6-foot-10, 190 pounds) is a power forward at Imani Christian Academy in Pittsburgh. Maluk is currently ranked as the No. 23 prospect in his class according to ESPN. WVU head coach Bob Huggins has also watched top 2025 prospect Cooper Flagg in person at the Peach Jam event in July.
