Neal Brown and the Mountaineers appear to be in good position to add to their impressive Class of 2022 recruiting class.

3-star offensive lineman Landen Livingston (6’5″, 285) is scheduled to make his college decision this afternoon at 12 PM. The native of Leo, Indiana has a final five of West Virginia, Purdue, Iowa, Indiana and Cincinnati. Livingston made his official visit to West Virginia the week of June 11 and is being recruited to WVU by Matt Moore.

Livingston spoke to West Virginia Sports Now following his official visit and was very impressed on his first trip ever to Morgantown.

“I thought highly of West Virginia going into the visit. I’ve never been there so it was nice to finally get there to see the area,” said Livingston. “The visit went great, it was an unbelievable experience and the West Virginia coaching staff is just amazing. Everything that we did was really cool and I’m just really glad that I got a chance to go there and meet them because they’ll always been a high contender in my recruitment since they offered me.

“I’m going to be honest with you, it was the coaching staff that stood out,” said Livingston. “From the minute we arrived on campus, they were with us talking to us and helping us. They tells me that they really care for us and the future of the program. That really stood out to me and my family as we all commented on that when we left. Other things that stood out were the academics. I’m interested in going into a business school and they’re building a new business school right now. Also, it was fun to talk with the other recruits. Their were two players there that had previously committed to West Virginia so to be able to talk to them and get their thoughts on West Virginia was good as well.”

Livingston is someone that projects to be able to play either guard or center in college.

West Virginia currently has 13 commitments and 3 from offensive lineman- Maurice Hamilton (Cleveland, Ohio), Sully Weidman (Brookline, Massachusetts) and Charlie Katarincic (Wallingford, Connecticut).
