Wright just finished his third season at West Virginia, under head coach Neal Brown. In 31 career games, Wright accumulated 129 receptions on 1,338 yards. The Georgia native had nine career touchdowns in his colligate career, including two on kick-off returns.
In the Guaranteed Rate Bowl against Minnesota, the junior receiver had 16 yards on three receptions. Wright becomes another Mountaineer to enter the transfer portal. Other receivers like Sean Ryan and Bryce Ford-Wheaton have also displayed odd behavior on Twitter. Ryan tweeted his thank you’s, while Ford-Wheaton deleted a tweet about coming back to WVU.
