WVU CB Ayden Garnes to Enter Transfer Portal
WVU football cornerback Ayden Garnes will enter the transfer portal, he confirmed on social media Wednesday evening.
Reported earlier in the day by several outlets, Garnes confirmed the move with a social media post.
Thank you West Virginia for all you gave me over this year it was a blessing💙… https://t.co/tSNVgQifvA

Ayden Garnes played just one season in Morgantown after transferring up from FCS school Duquesne last offseason. He played in six games, making 25 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup.
Prior to his time with the Mountaineers, Garnes started for two seasons at Duquesne. He started all 12 games in 2023, recording 51 tackles, five tackles for loss, 11 pass breakups and two interceptions, including a pick-six. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
The Philadelphia native was one of several transfer defensive backs WVU brought in last summer in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to rebuild its secondary for 2024.
Another one of those additions, TJ Crandall, has also entered the portal.
