2021 Safety Receives West Virginia Offer, Ready to Build Relationship with Staff
Earlier this morning, West Virginia sent out an offer to 2021 safety Javon McIntyre of Imhotep Charter in Philadelphia. Pa. McIntyre was just in Morgantown this past weekend for a visit and came away impressed with what he saw. “The visit was great I loved the atmosphere at the game. That was my second game visit – I visited last year when they played Baylor and I love the thought of playing in front of a big crowd and it means a lot to me and to my decision making too,” McIntyre said.
When asked about his thoughts on receiving the West Virginia offer he responded, “I’m very excited about the offer and can’t wait to build a strong relationship with the coaches.” His relationship with running backs coach Chad Scott is in the beginning stages, but did note that he loves the coaching staffs approach to the game and their plans moving forward with the program.
McIntyre also holds offers from Temple, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Pitt, UMass, Penn State, Tennessee, Iowa State and a few others. He currently considers West Virginia as a “top school” and a “school I am going to keep my eyes on.”
