2022 Receiver Target Blown Away by WVU Atmosphere, Lists Top School
This past weekend, class of 2022 wide receiver Kaden Saunders (Westerville, OH) made the trip to Morgantown for an unofficial visit.
“It went really well. The atmosphere there is the best part,” Saunders said of his visit. “They [WVU] are up at the top at the moment. The atmosphere is just different there,” he added.
Saunders received his offer from West Virginia back in April, so the coaching staff has been in on him early in his recruitment. The offer seemed to have taken Saunders by surprise he noted, “I was shocked because I didn’t even think they knew about me and I had no clue they were going to offer me.” He also took a visit to Morgantown back towards the end of May as well. His lead recruiter is tight ends coach Travis Trickett — who is someone he is developing a strong connection with. “That’s my guy! He’s super chill, I like talking to him and our conversations are really good,” Saunders says.
Although it is only year one of the Neal Brown era, Saunders sees the program on the rise, “I really like the program, it’s on for real come up. Also when I visited in the summer the facilities were super nice.”
Saunders did inform me that he will definitely be back to Morgantown sometime between now and next summer.
He also holds offers from Michigan State, Penn Stats, Michigan, Indiana, Pittsburgh and Nebraska.
