WVU Commit Believes the 2020 Class will Turn Things Around

Several members of the WVU 2020 recruiting class were on hand for the Mountaineers game over the weekend including athlete David Vincent-Okoli (Gaithersburg, MD).

According to Okoli, the visit “went great” and was impressed by how hard the team fought throughout the entirety of the game. Okoli is no stranger to Morgantown as he has been on campus numerous times and made three trips to West Virginia during the summer. He committed to the Mountaineers in mid-June over other offers from Maryland, Kentucky, Temple, Cincinnati, East Carolina and many others.

Okoli did offer his thoughts on his fellow commits and how good this recruiting class really is, “I feel like this will be the class to change everything around. Coach Brown is still doing well with the people he didn’t get to commit and I see the vision he has with the people he’s recruiting and it will change everything,” he said. “Garrett Greene brings a lot to the offense I feel,” Okoli added. He also noted how close this class is close with each other and that he is essentially brothers with wide receiver commit Devell Washington.

There’s also been a lot of confusion as to which position Okoli will play once he reaches Morgantown. There’s been rumors that he’s definitely lining up at receiver and some reports saying he will be at corner. He informed me that as of right now his position is unclear and that he hopes to play on the offensive side, but will play wherever the coaching staff needs him most.
