WVU Football Recruiting
WVU Football Likes 2027 OL Dominic Black’s Versatility
West Virginia Sports Now spoke with a popular offensive recruit from a neighboring state about his experience at WVU football Junior Day.
Dominic Black, listed at 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds out of Ohio, was able to discover West Virginia’s vision for him during a one-on-one conversation with a coach.
“Talked with Coach [Travis] Trickett about where I would be at freshmen year. Also, just about his coaching style and history on the offensive line.”
Black, mostly a tackle in high school, also said Trickett told him the Mountaineers believe he has the ability to play any position on the offensive line.
He even added that learning about the history of the Mountaineers and getting to know the current staff were his favorites parts of the visit.
A 2027 product of Tri-Village High School in New Madison, Ohio, Black already has offers from 19 Division I schools. His top offers include Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Black has also been drawing interest from Group of 5 level programs like Akron, Liberty, Marshall, Miami (OH) and Ohio.
